Scaffolding in Bicester
Bicester is fifteen minutes from our yard at Enslow — straight up the A4095. It is the closest large town to us after Kidlington, which means short notice is usually not a problem and a site visit costs you nothing but a phone call.

Most Oxfordshire towns are old stock with some new estates bolted on. Bicester is the other way round — it has grown faster than almost anywhere in the county, and the scaffolding work reflects that.
Graven Hill
The UK’s largest self-build development. Plot owners are running their own builds, often to unusual designs, and they need access booked around their own programme rather than a main contractor’s. We are set up for that.
Kingsmere & Elmsbrook
Large modern estates where the work is extensions, loft conversions, solar and remedial cladding. Tight plots, shared driveways and soft or unfinished ground are the usual constraints — access, not the structure.
The old town
Around Sheep Street and Market Square the stock is older, tighter and often in a conservation area, with pavement frontages that mean a highway licence.
Retail & industrial
Bicester Village, the retail parks and the industrial estates off the A41 — commercial and industrial work where the building stays open and the public has to be protected underneath.
Highway licences in Bicester
If the scaffold stands on a public footpath or road, the licence comes from Oxfordshire County Council as highway authority, while Cherwell District Council handles the planning and conservation side. On Sheep Street and the older residential terraces this comes up regularly. The licence is usually what sets your start date, not the scaffold, so flag it early.
What we put up here
- Domestic — extensions, loft conversions, re-roofs, chimneys, rendering, repointing, windows and solar.
- Self-build support — access for the full build, altered as the programme moves.
- Commercial — retail and offices that stay open while we work.
- Temporary roofs — weather protection spanning up to 40 metres, craned in or on a rolling track.
How we work
